Happy Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for my brother-in-law using papers and Dazzles from Hot off the Press. The chipboard birthday hat was from another company (sorry can't remember who) and the ribbon was bought on a spool from a big box store (probably Michael's). I got the idea for the layout using a Mojo Monday sketch from 2009.

Happy Birthday cupcake card

Here's a card I made in a class using products from The-Whole-Kit-N-Kaboodle. They referred to this card as a cupcake card since it's supposed to resemble a cupcake from a birds eye view. I liked the papers and the less than traditional design of the card. I need to incorporate things like that into my cards. I generally use the A2 style since I can get two cards from a 81/2 x 11 piece of cardstock. I buy my envelopes in boxes of 100 from an office supply company in either white or beige and it keeps the cost reasonable.

Out my window

I really hasn't felt like winter until last night and today, and maybe for a few more days. My daffodils had already started blooming and I'm not sure if they'll recover. Today we have sunny weather but it is cold and there's a dusting of snow. Maybe it has to do with Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow earlier in the month!

Happy Valentines Day!

Here's my first batch of cards for Valentine's Day this year. I used a pad of paper from Martha Stewart and embellishments by K&Co. On a few cards I added some ribbon, used punches or added a brad.

Make a Wish Card

Here's a card I made for my brother-in-law. It uses Paper Wishes papers and Dazzles. I edged one of the papers with decorative scissors. the "make a wish" thick cardstock sticker is from a generic pack, I can't remember where I got them or who the manufacturer is. I used a white gel pen on the balloons and the cardstock sticker for a highlight.
