If you've been getting sick of seeing Halloween cards for the last few posts you'll be happy that these are the last ones for the year since today is Halloween. I made these two cards using Tim Holtz masks and Ranger Distress Inks in orange and purple colors. I believe I used Rusty Hinge and Dusty Concord. Both cards have stamps by Artistic Outpost. I cut around the one with the boy to show a bit more of the background. I added a bit of Stickles to the one with the girl on the fence and Distress Stickles to the spider web as well.

Witches ATC
Here's a change from the Halloween cards I've been posting, it's a Halloween ATC! Actually the theme for this Stampers Corner Yahoo Group is "Witches" not Halloween. I got this image from the internet but can't remember where so I can't give credit. I can give credit for the stamp though. I used a portion of an Artistic Outpost stamp and then cut around the swirls to tuck the printed image through it. After stamping the image I added some Stickles to the stamped potion. I wanted to color the background blue to match the sky and had some leftover homemade shimmer/glimmer that I made with Ranger Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls. My mister clogged so I decided to pour the remaining contents onto the cardstock so the whole thing is very shimmery/glimmery.

Thinking of You Card
Here's a card I sent with a swap recently. The background paper is K&Co as is the red paper. The stamped image and sentiment are from the Bluebird collection by Artistic Outpost. I used the Cabin Fever handmade rainbow pad Adirondack to color the stamp. The final touch was adding a couple of Spellbinder die cut images.

Happy Birthday Hero
I made this card for a young man that graduated high school last year and is now in the USMC. I used a background stamp by Just For Fun and cut out stamped images by Artistic Outpost with Fiskars scissors to make it look like stamps. The sentiment is by Fiskars too.

Birds ATC
Here's an ATC I made for an Altered Designs TGIF ATC Mingle with the theme of Birds. I used a stamp by Artistic Outpost. First I stamped it on some marbled paper. Then I stamped the portion with the birds on glossy paper. I colored in the blue birds and cut them out and placed them on top of the original stamped ones. I added a note embellishment by SkyBluePink and a flourish I cut with my Silhouette.

Get your kicks another biker guy card
Here's a birthday card I made for another biker guy. This one starts out using patterned paper from the Life's Journey by K&Co. Next I stamped two images from the Route 66 collection by Artistic Outpost and cut them out. That's it, easy-peasy and I'm done.

Another motorcycle themed card
This one is for hubby. He has not one but two Harleys and another motorcycle that he keeps at his sisters. He says he might get rid of one but it doesn't bother me. If he should ever question how much I spend on my hobby I can always point to the garage. I used themed paper and stickers by EK Success and stamps by Artistic Outpost.

Happy Birthday to a biker guy
I made this biker themed card using a template that I got from Splitcoast Stampers. I tailored it to a motorcycle rider by using Harley Davidison background paper and stamps by Artistic Outpost, Seaside Stampin' Ink and Crafty Secrets. The birthday stamps are by Inque. I added an Idea-ology embellishement by Tim Holtz.

Betwitching ATC
Stamper's Corner had a Bewitching ATC theme and here's what I made for it. I shrunk down some themed sheet music I had downloaded and then used stamps from Artistic Outpost. The final step was to outline with a Krylon 18kt gold leafing pen.

Girly Girl ATC
This ATC was for the Stamper's Corner ATC Lottery. The previous winner picked the theme of Girly Girl. Not having any collage images I chose these stamps by Artistic Outpost. I stamped the girl on paper I marbled using the shaving cream technique. It is a great way to make background paper.

Always important...

I sent this card for a recent ATC swap with the theme of Hats. The stamps are from Artistic Outpost and the saying is Hair Had Always Been Important. I used some paper from K&Co as the background and added a few buttons as embellishments.

Happy 4th of July

I made two cards in honor of America's birthday. Both the same and just a bit different. The background paper was a different shade of white from the background that I stamped on so I needed to change something on one or both. On the one on the left I just used a bit of blue distress ink on the background paper. On the one on the left I used a bit of red and blue on both papers. The stamp is from the Hero collection by Artistic Outpost.

Stampers Corners Birds ATCOTM

Birds was the theme for the Stampers Corner ATC of the month. I used stamps from the Bluebird collection by Artistic Outpost. I stamped with a waterproof ink then used watercolor markers to color in the main image. Something was missing so I stamped and cut out these these birds on a wire and colored them with blue glitter using my Quickie Glue Pen by Sakura - it worked great. The last step was to color the edges with glitter using that same glue pen.

Phone Book Page ATC
This week at the Altered Designs Yahoo group the TGIF theme was "Phone Book Page" The first one (the one on the left in blue) didn't come out dark enough...so I did it again changing inks and embossing to further darken the image. I really like the results of the second one. Hopefully those of you in cyberspace don't prefer the first one because it is already trash. I moved the ribbon to the new one. The stamp is from Artistic Outpost and is part of a great set called Hair is Important.

A tribute to my Dad for two Yahoo Groups

I've mentioned previously that I belong to a LOT of Yahoo Groups. I'm active in some and lurk in others. I may have already mentioned that I like to make unique ATC's -- in other words edition 1 of 1. But in this case it was too easy to pass up. What were the chances that two of my groups would have the same theme in the same month? Altered Designs called it "Old Photo" and Stampers Corner called it "Photos from the Attic". Well this design worked for both. The stamps are from Artistic Outpost and the photo -- is my Dad. I used some scrap paper and Ranger Distress Inks.

It's not the destination but the journey

Some might say the words of the Greatful Dead song Truckin', "what a long strange trip it's been", might be appropriate to a long marriage; but in this case I'll defer to the Harley Davidson motto of "it's not the destination but the journey". A while back I celebrated my 27th wedding anniversary and I think back to the day..... My motto is more like "it doesn't matter where you get married, who marries you, what you wore or what you served at the reception; what matters is that you STAY married and continue on the journey.
By the way, this card is made with the Route 66 stamp collection by Artistic Outpost.
Until my next post,
Diane
