Fall Colors ATC

The theme for this ATC at the Altered Designs Yahoo Group was Fall Colors. I had made a bunch of alcohol ink backgrounds a while back. I layered them with quotes that I printed on acetate. The colors on this one definitely fit the theme, now I needed a few other things to complete the ATC. I brayered a background using a Ranger hand made rainbow pad. Not much of it shows but I wanted to make sure any part that did fit the theme. I cut out the extra off a few leaf die cuts to make them look more realistic. I layered them with the quote and then use a clear Sakura glaze pen to highlight portions of the leaves, pine cone and acorn.

Thinking of You Card

Here's a card I sent with a swap recently. The background paper is K&Co as is the red paper. The stamped image and sentiment are from the Bluebird collection by Artistic Outpost. I used the Cabin Fever handmade rainbow pad Adirondack to color the stamp. The final touch was adding a couple of Spellbinder die cut images.

Hands ATC

"Hands" was the theme for the Altered Designs Yahoo Group TGIF a while back. I had won this stamp by Stampers Anonymous at a stamp show and never used it so it was about time it got inked. I used watercolor paper colored with Fiber Scraps ez Walnut Ink in Rust color. I also used rust colored Adirondack dye ink color. I used glossy accents on the hand for a bit of a dimensional effect and then an Inksentials white pen for a bit of contrast. The final touch was a Krylon pen on the edge.

Open Theme ATC

This weeks theme for the Altered Designs Yahoo group ATC was.....Open which meant I could use any stamps, technique or collage. I chose a stamp by Stampers Anonymous that I brayered with a Ranger Adirondak hand made rainbow ink pad on glossy paper. I added a bit of the new Tim Holtz film ribbon and the word family to complete the piece.

Faux Marbling Technique Junkie Card

Here's a card I made using the Faux Marbling Technique from the Oct/Nov 2009 issue of Technique Junkies. I actually started with a paper that had a very subtle pattern by K&Co. I used Adirondak Inks to creat the look. The stamp is by Impression Obsession and the swirls were made with a Spellbinders die in my Cuttlebug.

Happy Fathers Day

Here's the card I made for my Father-in-law for Dad's day. I started with a bubble wrap stamped background. I used Woodlawn a handmade Ranger Adirondak ink pad. The stamp of the man is by Tanda and the shoes and phrase are by Crafty Secrets.

Flowers ATC

Here's an ATC I made for the Altered Designs Yahoo group with the theme of Flowers. I made it three times before I finally made one that I liked enough to give away. It was either the paper or the resist technique that I didn't like. For the final result I used glossy paper and Ranger Clear Resist Ink which is now the Ranger Watermark Resist Ink and stamps by Impression Obsession. After stamping the flowers I brayered Ranger Adirondak ink over the entire surface. I wiped the surface with a towel to reveal the flowers in white. I stamped the sentiment with StazOn using a stamp positioner and then outlined the edges with a Krylon gold pen.

Old Fashioned Golfing Card

Here's a card I made for a relative recently. He really is into golfing so I thought this image I got for free from Dover would work great. I used a piece of the marbled paper I'd made a while back and a Cuttlebug embossing folder to ink in the design. I've done this technique a few times and am always pleased with the results. I inked the portion of the folder that would make an impression with Adirondak Dye ink and then rolled it through the Cuttlebug. Next, I added a piece of ribbon that I backed with paper that I cut with decorative scissors and then layered the image. The final touch is a bit of silver outline stickers to the corners.

Travel theme card part 2

This is a card I sent with an ATC swap recently. Like another a while back it uses K&Co Life's Journey paper. The stamped image and the "Enjoy the Journey" are Tim Holtz designed stamps by Stamers Anonymous. The collage stamp was inked with a Ranger Adirondak hand made ink pad (can't remember which one) and the Enjoy the Journey was embossed with Ranger Distress Embossing Powder. I used a Sakura clear glitter pen to highlight the words in the Victoria Hotel Amsterdam portion of the paper but it is hard to see on the scan.
