Birthdays...eat more cake!

Instead of a New Years Eve card I'm posting a birthday card today. I've got a family member that was born today. I made this card using the "In the Middle" technique by Technique Junkies. I used a sentiment stamp by Cloud and accent stamps by See Dee's from their starter set.

A way to help just a little bit

The tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut was just a week ago. Some folks may be wondering if there is a way to help just a little bit.

The University of Connecticut has set up a special scholarship for the dependents of the adults that died, for the siblings of the children and for other students in the school. Eventually, with enough donations future students from Newtown wishing to attend UConn my benefit.

If you'd like to help, just a little bit you can find out more info here. You can pledge online or via text messaging. Remember donations given prior to 31 December are tax deductible for this year.

Thank You Card

Here's a card I made for my mother-in-law. She sent me a pair of PJ's for my birthday and I love them! For the past 20 years or so I get a set for my birthday and she never fails to pick out something nice. I made this card using the Technique Junkies Designer Tiles technique from Aug/Sep 2008. I used Echo Park Paper and stamps by Studio G.

Just A Note Card

Here's a card I made in a class using products by Technique Tuesday. Many of their stamps are small but buy combining them and using layering with different colored inks you can make great cards.
