Happy Halloween!

Tomorrow is Halloween so I thought I'd share the cards I made with you. They are made with paper and embellishments by WeR Memory Keepers. Guess what? I didn't make them in a class! I used the Technique Junkie Designer Paper Starburst technique that was in the Apr/May 2013 issue. It's a great way to use patterned paper don't you think?

In all things card

Here's a card I made a while back.  I used the wet crumbled paper technique with Distress Inks then used the background stamp. The stamps are by Impression Obsession. Before the distress the paper was large colored circles on a white background. After the paper dried I used some deckle scissors.

Today's Special card

I'm not sure why but I gravitate to certain types of papers retro kitchen collections being one. Naturally when I discovered the Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen collection I grabbed just about one of everything. The paper on this card is from that collection. The stamps are by Crafty Secrets with a border stamp by Hero Arts.

And the day... card

I made this card a couple of years ago at a make and take and am finally sending it. It doesn't scan well as there is a shimmer spray all over the front. The stamps are from Purple Daisy and I colored it in with markers just in a few spots.

Happy Birthday Cupcake card

Here's a card I made using a Hot off the Press card kit. Their kits have enough materials to make 10 cards decorated on the inside and out. I decided to stretch the cards to over 20 by using the inside materials to make additional cards. I supplied my own envelopes and cardstock for the additional cards.

The kits include the cardstock, envelopes, papers, dazzles, brads, fibers and other embellishments. I got the kit on sale and since I'm making twice as many cards I got a great deal with pretty much no left overs which is great since my craft room is bulging with stuff.

This card is the outside of one card. The lighter section in the middle is vellum over the paper to give it a lighter look.

Until my next post,
