Hello there, girlfriend card

Here's a card I made for one of my fellow Altered Designs Yahoo Group members.  Late last year they decided to start a birthday club. Any member could join and the rules are real simple. Send a card to each member for their birthday and then get cards for your birthday. Easy peasy! I've been pretty bad with my Yahoo craft groups so this is an easy way to stay involved. Not that many folks signed up so the workload isn't overwhelming by any means.

This card uses two techniques. The background was done by spaying a piece a scrapbook paper with water then crumpling it. I didn't think I'd use this paper in its original form, it was a bit too pastel for me. After while it is still moist buy not "wet" you rub the Ranger Distress inks on it. After it dries flatten it by placing some weight on it.

The pinwheel was done using the technique from the August 2010 Technique Junkies. I had some coordinating paper and did a bit of embossing on it and then placed a brad in the middle.

Until my next post,
Diane
