I made this card for a good friend of mine. I used Echo Park paper and Cuttlebug embossed butterflies. The stamped image is from Cloud 9. She is forever 29 just like me!

Are we there yet card

If this layout looks familiar to you then you must be a regular viewer of my blog. This is another travel card using a Sheetload template with the American Crafts kit. The stamp on this card is from Cloud 9 designs. I also used a Spellbinder template to cut out the blue scalloped square.

This card is for my niece and her family taking a trip to Disneyworld. Here's hoping for sunny but not too hot temperatures and short lines.

Happy Spring

This year instead of making Easter specific cards I focused on Spring. The one on the top left uses a stamp by Impression Obsession. There is an outline and a fill stamp. They make a few of these in floral designs so you can get some depth in your stamping. The outside of this image is a Cuttlebug folder.  The one on the top right uses the same stamp and another by Impression Obsession. I used that sentiment for all the cards either on the inside or outside. The bottom left also uses an Impression Obsession stamp. I used a few different inks on it and then added a bit of felt ribbon. The bottom right is my take on the Technique Junkies Embellished Circles Tutorial from the Apr/May 2001 newsletter. I just didn't do the embellishing. Sometimes those things don't go through the mail well and I was pressed for time.

All four of these use the same technique mentioned above. I used stamps from Martha Stewart (bottom right above photo, top left and right this photo) and Cloud Nine (bottom left and right entirely this photo and accents on the other ones).

Travel ATC

Here's another of my twisted humor ATC's. I made this one for the Altered Designs Yahoo Group with the theme of travel. I used paper from DCWV and then overlayed some printed (look carefully for the footprints) vellum to tone down the color. I used a stamp by 100 Proof Press and came up with this phrase. The "Are We There Stamp" is by Cloud 9. I attached the vellum using the corner brads.

Card for March ATC of the month

If I have one handy, I like to include a card when I send out my ATC of the month or ATC lotteries. For swaps I don't send a card (maybe I should though) because the ATCs get distributed to many people. I probably should send a card (for a swap) when I can because the folks that host the swaps do a lot of work and often don't get thanked.

This card is one of my latest Sheetload cards and now you get to see it in detail. I used an 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock cut in half to make two A2 cards. On top of that is a piece of DCWV textured cardstock. The rest is paper from American Traditional Design along with the flower embellishment.

So...for those of you that do swaps my belated THANKS for all the work you do resorting cards, ATCs, 4x4 pages and all the other things we crafters like to trade.

Batch cards

Some people might think this is "wrong" but I sometimes make cards in batches. I have used ideas from Sheetload a few times and I'll tell you what - you can crank out a bunch of cards (all the same and all a bit different too) in a short time. I use their design and modify it a bit to suit my paper and embellishments. The card base is simple bulk card stock (8 11/2 x 11 cut in half and scored to get two A2 size cards). Three have the plum background card stock from DCWV while the remaining papers are from American Traditional Designs. The sentiments on the front are stamped by Cloud 9 Design or Impression Obsession. I used two fun tools to make these cards. The first is my Cuttlebug with the Spellbinder scalloped square die. The second tool is the Paper Gator to round the corners of the smaller paper. It makes great cuts on multiple sheets of paper and many other things. By the way if you happen to get one of these cards act surprised like you've never seen it before!
